Established in 1824 Charles Green has been a family Jeweller for nearly 200 years. Their pieces are rare and unique in that they are design and crafted right here in the UK, in Birmingham’s infamous Jewellery Quarter. To bring their new Lux Collection to life, I was tasked to art direct and design a 70 page product book.
In collaboration with:
Exquisite quality, expertly crafted
I worked with the jewellery designers at Charles Green to get to know the collection of new engagement and wedding products. I was given a tour of their factory, and shown techniques to develop a jewellery sketch through to render, prototype and finished piece. The attention to detail and fine finish, was evident in Charles Green products, each handcrafted by skilled goldsmiths and jewellers.
Capturing the colour, clarity and cut.
I worked with photographer Paul Hartley to produce a series of still life product shots that captured the beauty of the jewellery. Paul’s lifetime specialism is capturing the stunning fine qualities of jewellery and it was a honour to work alongside him in his Putney studio.
The ultimate symbol of eternal love
The product book was designed to showcase the different designs and product collections. We chose a delicate colour theme throughout to allow the products to shine. With some slight brand updates, we created a new style for future Charles Green publications. The finished piece, printed by Pressision in Leeds, contained a foil embossed soft touch cover.
